Loye Wright, known professionally as DJ Blue, was born and raised in Jamaica, where music was an integral part of his life from an early age. While still in high school, he built his first sound system, initially named Baby Blue Sound. Over time, it evolved into Blue Steel Sound, which has now become Teamblue Entertainment. DJ Blue is a multifaceted artist—a DJ, radio host, and producer—who has played alongside some of Jamaica’s most renowned sound systems. As a skilled sound engineer, he was responsible for producing dubplates that have defeated many rival sound systems in competitions. In 2015, he migrated to Europe and began laying the foundation for Teamblue Entertainment, which encompasses a sound system, record label, and radio station. His platform, teamblueentertainment.com, was created with the vision of delivering a wholesome and authentic Jamaican experience to audiences worldwide. DJ Blue has toured with some of Jamaica’s most prominent artists, including Tommy Lee Sparta, Rygin King, and has shared the stage with icons such as Bounty Killer, Jah Vinci, Nesbeth, Turbulence, Razor B, Echo Minott, Eek-A-Mouse, and Jah Cure. Known for his authentic Jamaican style, DJ Blue’s performances transport audiences straight to the heart of a vibrant Jamaican street party. His specialty lies in dancehall and reggae, while also showcasing versatility in genres like soca, hip-hop, R&B, and afrobeat. In his latest venture, DJ Blue launched Europe’s first fully Jamaican-style mobile sound system in the summer of 2023. Touring across several European countries, the innovative sound system made appearances at major events, including the Summer Jam Festival and Reggae Jam in Germany, Reggae Geel marking a significant milestone in his career.
